AKS round attenuator is designed to decrease noise levels in ventilation ducts. It consists of two concentric cylinders with insulating spacer. The inside is perforated and supplied with elements allowing for sliding the attenuator into round ducts. In order to improve the tightness of duct connections both sides of the attenuator are supplied with grooved extensions with T-shaped rubber gaskets. Nominal diameters are in accordance with DIN 24145. Production programme and noise attenuation at individual frequencies are given in the table below.
Working conditions:
The attenuator is designed to be used indoors in standard environmental conditions (temperature from -30 to +90°C). Flowing air must be clean, free from dust, grease, chemical vapours and other pollutions. The user must also ensure that no vapour condensates pass through the attenuator or deposit inside.
Installation:
The attenuator is to be slid into the duct system.
Transport and storage:
The attenuator is delivered in three-layer cardboard boxes. Caution is to be exercised while transporting and handling the attenuator: avoid shaking, vibrations and impact. This product is to be stored indoors and protected against weather influence.
Main parameters:
External layer: 0.55 mm thick galvanised steel
Internal layer: 0.1 mm thick perforated pipe made of aluminium alloy
